GIRLS INTERNATIONAL THREE-MINUTE
SCIENCE COMPETITION

submissions are now closed for the 2025 competition. stay tuned for future events!

results announced: august-september

LET'S GET GIRLS INTO SCIENCE.

Stereotype threat and implicit bias are two key reasons why women are underrepresented in science. The problem is self-reinforcing: the less gender-inclusive the scientific community, the more science becomes male-dominated and the more those stereotypes become reinforced.

We are inviting all female-identifying teenagers from any part of the world to participate in the Girls International Three-Minute Science Competition, free of charge. Whether you're avidly passionate about science or just dipping your toes in the water, we'd love for you to join us!

Hear the story of Girls Three-Minute Science from our founder, Annie Ma.

In the past, we have received over 300 submissions from 21 countries and 6 continents, a testament to the strength of the scientific spirit in girls all around the world. Keep updated by signing up for the mailing list below!
